Is my baby ready yet?

There are three key signs to watch out for when they are around 5-6 months:

Sit unsupported

Your baby will need to be able to stay in a sitting position, holding their head steady before they start.

This means they can coordinate their eyes, hands and mouth so they can look at their food, pick it up and put it in their mouth.

Make sure they are able to swallow food (rather than spit it back out)
